The challenge

What we were solving

The company had a genuinely differentiated product — workforce management software built specifically for distributed teams in Southeast Asia, with nuances around local payroll and compliance that the global SaaS players couldn't match. Their sales team knew this. Their LinkedIn presence didn't say it.

They were posting sporadically — roughly twice a month, usually product announcements and company news. Engagement was near-zero. The founding team had personal profiles but no content strategy. The Company Page had 200 followers, most of whom were current employees.

The core problem wasn't awareness. HR directors and ops leaders in Malaysia and Thailand were actively searching for solutions to exactly the problems this product solved. The company just wasn't showing up when they looked.

Our approach

What AppLabx did

We began with a ContentIQ™ analysis of the workforce management SaaS category on LinkedIn — examining what content was performing for competitors and adjacent players, what topics HR directors were engaging with, and which formats were driving the most qualified interaction in the sector.

The output was a content strategy built around five pillars: Southeast Asia compliance and HR regulation (owned topic, no competitor was doing it well), workforce analytics and decision-making, remote and distributed team culture, product use cases told through customer outcomes, and founder perspective on building a regional SaaS. Each pillar had a format mix: text posts for the algorithm, carousels for complex topics, polls for engagement signals, and a monthly LinkedIn Newsletter for subscribers.

We produced 20 pieces of content per month — a mix of Company Page posts and ghostwritten posts for the two co-founders. Every piece was written natively for LinkedIn, not repurposed from blog content. Scheduling was optimised per ContentIQ™ timing data for their audience segment. We also managed daily engagement: responding to comments within 2 hours, proactively engaging with relevant conversations in the HR community.

The results

What happened

Follower growth was rapid. The Company Page went from 200 to 2,100 followers in the first 90 days, then to 18,000 by month twelve — driven almost entirely by organic reach from the content programme. Post impression volume grew 6.4× in the first quarter alone.

The more commercially significant result was inbound pipeline. Four inbound demo requests in twelve months were directly attributed to LinkedIn content — contacts who had followed the page for months, consumed multiple pieces of content, and reached out when they were ready to evaluate solutions. Average deal size for these four opportunities was higher than the company's normal average, because the content had pre-qualified them.

The co-founders' personal profiles became the highest-performing content channels. The CEO's posts on Southeast Asian HR compliance regularly reached 20,000+ impressions per post — more reach than their entire email list.

"We were sceptical about organic LinkedIn content. Our investors kept telling us to spend on paid ads. AppLabx convinced us to invest in content first — and the compounding effect was remarkable. LinkedIn became our most efficient demand-generation channel by month eight."
