What we were solving
The firm had genuine expertise — decades of M&A and corporate advisory experience across ASEAN. What they lacked was any visible expression of that expertise on LinkedIn. Potential clients were searching for legal counsel on the platform and finding competitors, not them.
The senior partners had LinkedIn profiles that read like CVs from 2011. The Company Page had 340 followers and hadn't been updated in six months. The firm's associate team had no consistent presence at all. In a sector where trust is built before the first meeting, this invisible LinkedIn presence was costing them inbound opportunities they'd never know they missed.
What AppLabx did
We started with a full ProfileIQ™ audit across all 12 partner profiles, scoring each against 60 LinkedIn ranking signals. The findings were consistent: low keyword density for their practice areas, no buyer-facing language in the summaries, and almost no social proof beyond job titles.
Phase one was a complete profile rewrite for all 12 partners — headlines repositioned around client outcomes rather than seniority, summaries rewritten in first person with specificity about the deals they'd worked on, featured sections built out with media references and client-facing resources. The Company Page was overhauled simultaneously: a new description optimised for LinkedIn search, updated service listings, and a refreshed banner.
Phase two was a 6-month thought leadership programme for the managing partner and two practice heads. We ran voice-capture sessions to extract real opinions and deal insights, then ghostwrote two posts per week per executive — covering M&A trends, regulatory shifts, and deal structuring perspectives that their target clients actually cared about. No generic leadership advice; specific, credible, sector-grounded content.
What happened
Within 30 days of the profile rewrites going live, the managing partner's profile views had increased 4.1× week-on-week. All 12 partner SSI scores moved from an average of 29 to 87 — top 10% for their industry category on LinkedIn.
By month three, the firm received its first inbound LinkedIn enquiry from a prospective client who had found the managing partner's content, read three of his articles, and sent a connection request with a specific deal question attached. Two further inbound enquiries followed in months four and five — all unsolicited, all from LinkedIn content.
By month six, LinkedIn had become the firm's second-highest source of inbound lead volume, behind referrals. The managing partner subsequently received two speaking invitations directly attributable to his LinkedIn content.
"We'd spent 30 years building a reputation through relationships. AppLabx showed us that LinkedIn lets you build that same reputation at scale — with people who haven't met us yet. The quality of the inbound we're now getting is exceptional."Managing Partner · Corporate Law Firm · Singapore (identity withheld by mutual agreement)
